The Planning Board has scheduled a July 16 public hearing on expanding the town’s solar overlay district, setting the stage for Special Town Meeting to consider the proposal on Aug. 22. Although the language of the warrant article was still being fine-tuned, the measure proposes that the solar district be extended to the Ayer Road commercial area.
