Towns combine for summer youth activities

Hopkinton and Westborough youth services departments have joined together to provide a range of summer activities that are either free or nominally priced for kids entering grades 6 through 8. The schedule includes dodge ball from 5 to 7 p.m. next Sunday, a yoga and Nia dance class from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. July 25, and a “make your own pizza” party on Aug. 5 from 10 a.m. to noon sponsored by the Bertucci’s restaurant on Route 9 in Westborough. A registration form turned in to the Forbes Municipal Building in Westborough by Aug. 3 is necessary to participate in the event at the restaurant. Also scheduled are trips to Hampton Beach and Kimball Farm on July 30 for a charge of $5, and a trip to Six Flags New England on Aug. 6 for a charge of $30. Preregistration and payment is required at the Forbes Municipal Building three days prior to the trips. A full listing of events and more information are provided under the Youth Commission activities link at www.hopkintonma.gov.
