The Town Council approved an increase in water and sewer rates that has residents paying about 5 percent more for the services as of last Sunday, the beginning of fiscal year 2013. The new rates include an increase of roughly 5.2 percent for water use and service charges, while sewer rates are up by 4.8 percent.
