About 300 local residents and businesses have signed up to receive free solar-power assessments under the state’s Solarize Massachusetts program. The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center and Solarize Massachusetts Arlington have announced that Framingham-based Solarflair Energy Inc. has been selected as the installer for Arlington under the program. On Monday at 7 p.m., Solarflair will conduct a workshop about solar energy in Town Hall. In April, Arlington was one of 17 communities selected by the state Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs to participate in this year’s Solarize Massachusetts program, which uses discounted pricing to encourage businesses and homeowners to install solar-energy panels.
