Longwood Opera performing weekly concerts

Longwood Opera has launched its 22d annual summer concert series, which will run every Tuesday night through Aug. 28; this week’s program is “Broadway Melodies.’’ The concerts are directed and hosted by the company’s general director, Scott Brumit. Music direction is by Jeffrey Brody. Performances are held at 7:30 p.m. at Christ Episcopal Church on Highland Avenue. Admission is $8 at the door; seniors, students, and children pay $6. Season passes are $50 for adults and $35 for seniors, students and children. For more information, visit www.longwoodopera.org.
