The Watertown Mall is hosting free science and nature events for kids, including traveling exhibitions from the New England Aquarium and Museum of Science, Boston, this summer. On Wednesday at 1 p.m. and 2 p.m., the Massachusetts Audubon Society’s Drumlin Farm sanctuary will present “Native Animals,” a program about the region's creatures. A turtle and owl will be on hand during the visit. The New England Aquarium will visit on July 28 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a traveling tide pool to teach about the region’s coastal habitats. Participants can see starfish, hermit crabs, and moon snails, among other creatures. On Aug. 11 at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., the Museum of Science will present “A World of Bridges: An Engineering Tale,” an interactive engineering adventure.
