Residents concerned about mosquitoes can call the Central Massachusetts Mosquito Control Project office to schedule an inspection and possible spraying of their property on Tuesdays and Wednesdays through the end of next month. Representatives from the state office will visit properties and determine whether to apply insecticide. The inspector will also offer suggestions on how to prevent mosquito infestations, including removing anything that could collect water, according to Ann McCobb, the town’s health director and agent. The schedule of visits is subject to change, based on temperatures and mosquito populations. To schedule an appointment, call the Central Massachusetts Mosquito Control Project office Monday through Friday from 7 a.m to 3:30 p.m. at 508-393-3055, or visit its website, www.cmmcp.org.
