The Concord Area Humanists will host lawyer and author David Niose at the group’s next monthly meeting, set for 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, at First Parish in Concord. Niose is the president of the American Humanist Association and author of a new book, “Nonbeliever Nation: The Rise of Secular Americans.’’ The association promotes humanism and defends the separation of church and state.
