Maynard residents have to drive to an out-of-town supermarket or go grocery shopping at a local pharmacy to buy food. But a group of local residents is trying to change that, working bring to a cooperative, member-owned grocery store to the center of town. The group, which has dubbed itself the Maynard Food Cooperative, and has already joined the regional chamber of commerce, held its first meeting in late May and attracted more than 100 people.
