From haunted hayrides to spooky storytelling, there’s something for every thrill-seeker this Halloween season. Local farms, historic houses, and community centers have been transformed into ghoulish haunts — with an occasional candy reward for the bravest visitors.

Ever wonder what would happen if Halloween took over Tinsel Town? Walk down a daunting red carpet, bump into scary movie stars, and tour a tormented film studio at the Congregational Church of Needham’s “Haunted Hollywood.” Or explore the shockingly unbucolic scenery on a hayride through the fields at Hanson’s Farm in Framingham.
