Parker’s Revenge and Hanscom Air Force Base

Battle of Parker’s Revenge

The battle took place on the afternoon of April 19, 1775, hours after British regulars killed eight colonists at Lexington Green. Rallied by their leader, Captain John Parker, Lexington’s militia ambushed the redcoats as they were retreating from Concord. Three Lexington men died during fighting in the area that afternoon. The battle site is near the southern border of Hanscom Air Force Base, and the road that is now Route 2A.
