Police to offer self-defense course

The Police Department is offering a three-part Rape Aggression Defense course for women at the Emerson Community Center in Newton Upper Falls. The free course will begin next Sunday, and continue on Dec. 9 and 16, with each segment running from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Participants must be at least 15 years old.
