Marc Saucier, spokesman for the Police Department, is encouraging smartphone users to try out the MyPD application for iPhone and Android devices. Features of the app, designed to keep residents in close touch with their local police, include push notifications, feedback forms, tips forms, and easy ways to retrieve information from government agencies. The free app can be downloaded onto an iPhone or Android device by searching for My Police Department or MyPD in the iPhone or Android marketplace. Users have the option of selecting other communities, in addition to Bedford, from which they would like to receive police department updates. More information can be found at www.bedfordpd.org  or www.MyPDapp.com .
