Discussions are underway among local officials to create a new full-time position of town planner. The Planning Board has voted to put the matter on the spring Town Meeting warrant, and is recommending an annual salary of about $65,000. In the meantime, the Board of Selectmen, the Finance Committee, and other boards are looking into the need for the position.
