Celebrating a Victorian Christmas

The Victorian spirit of Christmas will be celebrated at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the 1830 Schoolhouse, at Church Road on the town common, during the Shrewsbury Historical Society’s holiday party. The free public event features Patricia Perry, a historical interpreter and past chairwoman of the Blackstone Valley Interpreter Network, who will take visitors back to the start of many popular holiday traditions, including Christmas trees and oranges in stockings. Refreshments will be served. For more information, call 774-230-5826.
