Selectmen on Monday formally accepted the deed for a 6.5-acre parcel donated to the town by David, Alan and L. Lee Parker in memory of their parents, Lloyd Larkin Parker and Arline Knight Parker. The land sits adjacent to the town’s Chestnut Street well field, and Executive Assistant Paul Blazar said the donation will help ensure that the property, which is mostly wetlands, won’t be developed. The land acquisition was approved by Town Meeting on Nov. 19.
