Several hundred people are expected to participate in the ninth annual Christmas Eve Caroling event Monday. Children will be invited onto the bandstand at Hastings Park to ring bells to “Jingle Bells,” which will be the final song in an assortment of traditional carols. The caroling will run from 4 to 4:30 p.m. at Massachusetts Avenue and Worthen Road. Sheet music will be provided, along with hot chocolate and cookies. Participants are encouraged to bring their own candles or flashlights. The Lexington Rotary Club and Lexington Lions Club are cosponsoring for the event.
