Start a new holiday tradition with friends and neighbors by attending Christmas Caroling on the Common at 7 p.m. Sunday. The free event will feature the Worcester Brass Consort accompanying the singers on the Shrewsbury Common, at Main Street and Route 140. The event is open to all ages, and participants will be provided song sheets and hot chocolate. The carol sing, organized by the Arts on the Green Committee of First Congregational Church, will be held regardless of the weather. Carolers are asked to bring a flashlight to see the song sheets in the dark, and also to bring a donation of personal care products such as toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, or conditioner for St. Anne's Food Pantry, 130 Boston Turnpike Road. The pantry is at the church and is open every day but Sunday at 8 a.m. Donations will be collected at the caroling site. If you cannot attend but still want to donate, call the pantry at 508-799-4169.
