Selectmen settle committee appointments

Selectmen voted at their last meeting to approve the recommendations of the Common Sewer Feasibility Study Committee to appoint Janet LaVigne to fill the citizen-at-large position vacancy, and to reduce the committee membership from 10 to nine by making the town’s Electric Light and Water Departments general manager, Savas Danos,  an adviser rather than a voting member. Selectmen voted at the same meeting to reduce the membership of the Tercentennial General Planning Committee from eight to seven voting members, making the town administrator a nonvoting member.
