Author Suzy Duffy is writing about the women of Newton and Lincoln

Wellesley has a lure for writers, who are inspired and intrigued by its well-to-do class of suburbanites and their exotic lifestyles and problems. Dublin transplant Suzy Duffy provided her own “chick lit” take on her new hometown with the release of “Wellesley Wives” on Sept. 27.

The light and funny novel, which Duffy stressed isn’t an expose, but rather a celebration of women, follows the peaks and platitudes of Popsy Power, her two daughters and her best friend.
