Hearings on Omni housing projects

Townspeople interested in having a voice in discussions on two pending housing projects have several opportunities to make themselves heard in the upcoming weeks. The Planning Board has announced a public hearing on the Orchards, a proposed subdivision of single-family homes along Grist Mill Road, for Jan. 10 at 7:30 p.m., while the Board of Selectmen will be discussing a proposed host community agreement with the subdivision’s Concord-based developer, Omni Properties LLC, at 7 p.m. Jan. 14. And then on Jan. 17 at 7:15 p.m., the Zoning Board of Appeals is to resume its public hearing on Omni’s comprehensive permit application for the Village Green Apartments, proposed under the state’s Chapter 40B affordable housing law for a Great Road parcel adjacent to the Grist Mill project. The meetings will be held in the Town Offices at 37 Shattuck St.
