The town is asking residents to take a 10-minute survey to help update its Open Space and Recreation Plan, which was drafted in 2008. The plan serves as a guide for protecting, managing, improving, and expanding Framingham’s open space and recreation resources in the face of continuing development pressures, according to the report. The state requires communities to update open space planning documents every five years in order to qualify for preservation grants, town officials said. The survey can be completed online through a link on the town’s website, www.framinghamma.gov, with versions available in English, Portuguese and Spanish. The survey will be available through the end of January. To request the survey in an alternative format, contact the Community and Economic Development Department at 508-532-5455.
