Deadlines are approaching for candidates seeking to run for a local office in the annual election in March. Incumbent Town Meeting members have until Monday to notify the town clerk’s office of their intent to run for reelection. New candidates for any office have until 5 p.m. Friday to take out nomination papers, which are due back in the town clerk’s office with the required number of signatures by 5 p.m. Jan. 14. In addition to dozens of Town Meeting seats up for election, two selectmen seats, two School Committee seats, a Planning Board seat and the town moderator position will also be on the ballot. For more information, visit the clerk’s page on the town website, www.lexingtonma.gov.
