Returned from deployment in the United Arab Emirates

Air Force Senior Airman Thomas McNabb, son of Anne and Dean McNabb, and brother of Kelli and Joey McNabb, all of Sudbury. He is a 2006 graduate of Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School.

Army Captain Joshua Randall, son of Judith ­Jarashow and David Randall of the Waban section of Newton, and a 2001 graduate of Newton South High School.

Awarded the Army Commendation Medal

Army Specialist Gabrielle Murray, daughter of David Murray and Christine Russell of Arlington and a 2009 graduate of Arlington High School. Murray received the award for her exceptionally meritorious achievement during a mass-casualty operation at Base Azizullah in Afghanistan. Her actions contributed to saving the lives of nine local residents.

Airman Amber L. Maciel, daughter of Karen Bradt of Marlborough and George Maciel of Pepperell. She is a 2009 graduate of ­Ayer High School.
