Cultural Council members wanted

Culture mavens who would like to share their knowledge and help spark the arts in Shrewsbury are invited to apply for appointments to the Shrewsbury Cultural Council. The council members are appointed by the Shrewsbury selectmen from among volunteers who apply by Feb 7. The council receives funds from the Massachusetts Cultural Council and uses it to make local grants for eligible activities and programs. Prior recipients have included the Artist Guild of Shrewsbury, Summer Reading Song & Story Celebration, Calliope 2013 Pre-Teen Youth Theatre Workshops,  the Shrewsbury Council on Aging & Friends of the Shrewsbury Senior Center,  Symphony Pro Musica,  and the Worcester County Horticultural Society (Tower Hill Botanic Garden) Five-Star Concert Series.  Cultural Council members serve three-year terms.
