Supt. search reopened

At its meeting Monday night, the School Committee is expected to decide on a new list of final candidates for superintendent of schools after again reviewing  qualifications of 31 individuals who had submitted applications. The original list of three finalists was shelved after two of the three withdrew. Jessica Huizenga, interim superintendent of the Freetown-Lakeville Regional School District, gave personal reasons for withdrawing, and Judith Paolucci, school superintendent in Yarmouth, Maine, accepted a similar position in Leicester, which adjoins Worcester. That left Scott Carpenter,  superintendent-principal of Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School. Harvard’s interim superintendent is Joseph Connelly, who was appointed for the 2011-2012 school year.
