Session explains aid for local seniors

Angela Smith of the Council on Aging invites seniors to a discussion on the town’s Aid to the Elderly and Disabled Fund, including eligibility and how to apply, at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Gleason Public Library, 22 Bedford Road. Implemented in 2003, the fund assists low-income elderly and disabled persons to meet their property tax obligations. To qualify, applicants must be 65 or older and meet other criteria related to disabilities and income. Applications will be accepted until March 29.  For more information, call 978-371-2895.
