The town’s Municipal Affordable Housing Trust is looking into acquiring two properties that could be used for the construction of apartment complexes offering units meeting the state’s affordable housing standards. One property is a 14-acre parcel at 361 Ayer Road; the other site, on Poor Farm Road, previously was the location of a home for the indigent. The town’s Community Preservation Committee recently voted to support the trust’s request for $100,000 for the affordable-housing project; the proposal is on the April 6 Town Meeting warrant.
