The Arts Committee of the Acton Memorial Library is inviting artists to submit images of their work by March 1 for consideration in upcoming exhibitions scheduled for the meeting room gallery. Each March the committee reviews work for one-person shows and sets the schedule for exhibits to begin the following September. Various media including painting, drawing, printmaking, illustration, photography, textiles, and mixed media are eligible. Three-dimensional work is considered for exhibit on the second floor of the library and in the glass case in the solarium. Artists are asked to submit a CD with eight images, including an image list with titles, media, and dimensions; an artist's statement; brief resume; and self-addressed stamped envelope for return of materials. Materials should be submitted to: Arts Committee, c/o Acton Memorial Library, 486 Main St., Acton, MA 01720. Materials may also be left at the library's circulation desk.
