Town election to coincide with US Senate special election

Selectmen Monday voted to change the date of Hudson’s annual town election to coincide with the US Senate primary election on April 30. The town election had previously been planned for May 13. Paul Blazar, Hudson’s executive assistant, said the change will save the town about $10,000. As a result of the switch, deadlines for submitting nomination papers for town offices and registering to vote in the town election will be moved up. The deadline to submit nomination papers is now 5 p.m. March 19, and the deadline to register to vote in the town election is April 10 at 8 p.m.
