Members of Lexington’s immigrant community will share their stories during a discussion at Cary Memorial Library at 7 p.m. Thursday. The event, called “Our Stories: Exploring the Immigrant Experience,” will feature special guest speakers Yefim Somin, Mitra Shavarini, and Weidong Wong. They will discuss their family stories of immigrating to the United States from the Soviet Union, Iran, and China, respectively, as well as ideas about what can be done to make new arrivals feel more welcome in the community.
