Selectmen have voted to move the date of this spring’s town election to April 30, to coincide with the special statewide primary for the US Senate seat vacated by John Kerry. With separate ballots for the Senate party primaries and the local election, voters will check in at two tables, receive two ballots, and check out twice. The change also shifts the deadline for returning nomination papers for local office, pushing it back from March 4 to March 12.
