Organizers from Food Truck Festivals of New England will appear before the Board of Selectmen on Monday night to discuss holding an event in Natick Center in late summer. Organizers said they will not be holding a gathering of the popular mobile diners in the Shoppers World parking lot in Framingham, as they have done the past two years, because the organization wants to expand to new markets and avoid costly fees this year. Event organizers said they hope to hold the festival on Sept. 7, but are also looking into holding the event on a Sunday. If the event is approved by town officials, the festival would have some food trucks on the town common, and others in a parking lot near Town Hall. Last year, the Framingham event drew about 10,000 people, organizers said. The selectmen's meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in Town Hall, at 13 East Central St.
