The town will vote on 17 warrant articles — covering a wide range of issues from town budgets to street signs to medical marijuana — on March 16 at the annual Town Meeting. There are a number of capital budget items on the warrant, as well as an article proposing a $20,000 pedestrian street-sign project. Another article will discuss a town bylaw regarding medical marijuana treatment and dispensing facilities, as well as marijuana cultivation. There is also a citizen petition on the warrant seeking no increase on property taxes from fiscal year 2015 to fiscal year 2016. Any registered voter is invited and encouraged to participate in Town Meeting, which begins at 1 p.m. at the high school, on West Main Street.
