At the Town Caucus held late last month, 12 nominations were put forth for the 12 open positions to appear on the May 7 ballot. Selectmen emphasized that all positions are currently uncontested and it is not too late for new candidates to step forward; petition papers, which may be picked up at the town clerk’s office, may be filed through March 19 as long as candidates have collected a minimum of 34 signatures from registered Carlisle voters. For more information on running for one of the open positions, contact the town clerk at 978-369-6155, or learn more about the various town boards and what they do at www.carlislema.gov.
