Better Breathers Club is launched

The Northborough Senior Center is launching a new support group this month for residents with breathing-related conditions. The Better Breathers Club is intended to provide educational support to residents with illnesses such as chronic lung disease, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), chronic bronchitis, or lung cancer. Cheryl Burgess, respiratory therapist at Marlborough Hills Healthcare Center, and Molly Coyne, a licensed practical nurse from Bouvier Pharmacy, will be running the group. They will focus on teaching breathing techniques, talking about everything from medications to tests and nutrition, and trying some useful exercises. The group will meet the third Thursday of each month at 2 p.m. at the Senior Center. The program is free. Call the Senior Center at 508-393-5035 to sign up.
