Spelling bee fund-raiser Saturday

The Southborough Education Foundation’s annual spelling bee, postponed by bad weather last month, has been rescheduled for Saturday. While it is too late to register to participate in the competition, spectators are welcome to root for their favorites, buy raffle tickets, and donate to the foundation as part of next weekend’s festivities at Trottier Middle School, 49 Parkerville Road. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the spelling bee begins at 7; admission is $2 for adults, $1 for children, and $5 for families. There is also a silent auction taking place online at www.southboroughed.org until Saturday night. For more information, e-mail Kathy Cook at info@southboroughed.org.
