Campbell wins school board seat

Richard Jennett was elected to the Board of Selectmen in Tuesday’s town election, when he joined incumbent Charles Hughes as the only candidates for two seats on the board. Paul Joseph, who has been serving as the board’s chairman, decided not to seek reelection, citing a busy schedule and family commitments. Jennett, a former Finance Committee chairman, ran against incumbent Joshua Ostroff last year, but lost. Voters in the annual election, which saw about a 10 percent turnout with 2,032 ballots cast, also gave School Committee incumbents Anne Blanchard and Paul Laurent another three years on the committee, and elected newcomer Thomas Campbell, who beat out another challenger, Timothy Kelley, for the third opening on the panel.
