The South Brookline Senior Social on Friday will kick off a series of events for local elders at the public library’s Putterham Branch, 959 West Roxbury Parkway. The events will run from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Friday through May 10. The gathering on April 26 will feature a guest speaker, Rita McNally, who was recently named the town’s “Woman of the Year” by the Brookline Commission for Women. McNally has worked with the Norfolk district attorney’s office, and chairs the town’s Human Relations/Youth Resources Commission. For information about the socials or to volunteer, contact coordinator Regina Millette Frawley at 617-469-0052.
