Starting this week, the Wellesley Historical Society will host a series of three springtime historic walks around town. The first walk, slated for Tuesday at 9 a.m., will focus on how transportation shaped Wellesley. The other two walks are scheduled for May 18 at 9 a.m., and June 9 at 10 a.m. The 1.5-mile walking tours will take about 90 minutes, and are recommended for adults and teenagers, organizers said. The tours will begin and end at the Wellesley Historical Society’s headquarters, 229 Washington St., and will cost $5 for nonmembers. To reserve a place or find out more information, call 781-235-6690 or visit www.wellesleyhistoricalsociety.org.
