Family bike rides, a walk across town, and a Friday-night bike ride through Lexington, Lincoln, and Concord will be featured as part of the town’s first “Bike Walk ’n Bus Week,” which starts next Sunday. The event is being organized by the town’s Bicycle Advisory, Greenways Corridor, and Safe Routes to School committees, and town staff members to promote alternative transportation resources. Some of the first events will be a family bicycle ride and a 5.5-mile walk around town, both beginning at 10 a.m. next Sunday. On May 9, the town’s Lexpress bus service will be free all day, and on May 10 at 6 p.m. cyclists will bike through Lexington, Lincoln, and Concord before meeting for beverages at the Vine Brook Tavern in Lexington Center.
