Picnic today with first responders

The town will celebrate its first responders — the men and women of the police, fire, and communications departments — with a community picnic Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Carlisle Public School Plaza on School Street. All residents are invited to bring food to share at the potluck gathering. Police and fire emergency vehicles will be on exhibit for children to explore, and art supplies will be provided for people who want to make cards or pictures to thank the public safety workers.
