Revolutionary Revelry returns

The town’s third annual Revolutionary Revelry festival has kicked off with events that will continue through May. This week the festival, hosted by Lexington’s Tourism Committee, and local organizations and businesses, will feature a discounted golf outing at Pine Meadows Golf Club at 11 a.m. Tuesday, and a Colonial community sing at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Depot Square. Also, a countryside fair will be held at Woburn and Lowell streets from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday, and next Sunday, the popular “Lex Fly a Kite” event will be held on the Diamond School ball fields and neighboring Chiesa Farm from 1 to 5 p.m. Last year more than 400 people attended the free kite-flying event. A full list of the festival events can be found online at www.tourlexington.us.
