Town Hall surplus items for sale online

The Town Hall renovation project won’t be voted on until Town Meeting convenes Thursday, but an online yard sale of sorts is offering anyone a chance to buy a slice of Upton history. The town has placed items from the building for sale through www.publicsurplus.com, which it uses to auction off all surplus goods. As of midweek, the list of available items included a vintage Coca-Cola cooler, a wooden cupboard with scales (for weights and measures), antique desks, Massachusetts law books, two safes, Christmas decorations, and several bicycles. Winning bidders will be notified by the website, and payments may be made by credit card; arrangements to collect items will go through the Board of Selectmen’s office. For more information, call the office at 508-529-6901, or visit the town’s website, www.uptonma.gov.
