Residents Lisa Braccio and Debbie Depp Wilson are seeking donations from the community next weekend to help them continue their tradition of providing care packages and supplies to troops every Memorial Day. They have created a list of basic supplies needed by the troops that residents can bring by the Senior Center, at 9 Cordaville Road (Route 85), on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. or next Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The women will be sorting, boxing and shipping the items in an annual project that they started in 2005. They also encourage people to bring postcards and letters for the troops, many of whom don’t get any mail. The list of supplies and more information can be found online at www.carepackagesforsoldiers.org, or call Braccio at 508-481-9939 or Wilson at 508-481-6326.
