Musical theater workshops for youths

The Wellesley Theatre Project will host two free musical theater workshops, led by Broadway actress Jessica Rush, for local youths May 20 in the program's studio at 98-R Central St. , organizers said. The first session, with room for 40 students in second through 12th grades, will feature a dance workshop using choreography from "Jersey Boys" from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Then, from 5:30 to 8 p.m., 20 students will be able to take part in a musical theater audition workshop, where they will perform 32 bars of a prepared song. Rush is currently performing in "Jersey Boys" on Broadway, and her past credits include "Guys and Dolls" and "Gypsy."
