Talk on avoiding identity theft, scams

The town’s Council on Aging will host a program on preventing financial exploitation and identity theft Thursday at 1 p.m. at the senior center. Sheila Pransky, coordinator of senior programs in the Norfolk district attorney’s office, will present information on scams and how to spot and avoid becoming the victim of identity theft on the Internet, in person, on the telephone, via regular mail and other avenues. A question-and-answer period will follow. For more information, call the council at 508-699-7384.
