A workshop to help students write college-application essays is being held at the Sherborn Library, 4 Sanger St., on June 4 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Freelance writer and writing coach Mindy Pollack-Fusi will give students — and their parents, according to the library’s announcement — an idea of what colleges are looking for in the common application essay, and teach a simple approach to choosing the right topic. The Bedford resident has coached students on writing college essays for the past decade.
