Votes on budgets, casino study Monday

Annual and Special Town Meeting sessions will convene Monday night at Medway High School. Registered voters taking part in Special Town Meeting, slated to begin at 7 p.m., will decide a number of items for the current fiscal year, including a transfer from free cash to cover last winter’s snow-removal bills, and a proposal to earmark $40,000 to study the potential impact of a casino complex in Milford. The warrant for the annual session, scheduled for 7:30 p.m., includes the town and school budgets for the year starting July 1, as well as requests for water-main work and other capital expenditures; a proposal to create a redevelopment authority; a series of street acceptances and rezoning requests; and an article proposing a temporary moratorium on medical marijuana treatment centers. The full warrants are available online at www.townofmedway.org .
