Bickford, Guild win tight races


Walter Bickford narrowly defeated Scott Hawkins for a seat on the Board of Selectmen in Monday’s annual town election. Bickford garnered 408 votes, while Hawkins received 346. The race for a new cemetery commissioner was even closer, with Robert Guild edging Dennis Bartlett, 367-359, according to the town clerk’s posting at www.townofberlin.com.
